“The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be ignited.” —Plutarch
Hello! My name is Adriana Wells, and I’m a rising senior at Hollins University. I am pursuing Elementary Education licensure alongside a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a Creative Writing concentration. My post-graduation goal is to return to my hometown in Charlottesville, Virginia, to teach elementary school. I am inspired by the challenges of today’s students to foster an inclusive space where all students express creativity and critical thinking skills. In terms of hobbies and extracurricular activities, I enjoy editorial work and publications; I currently serve as the Vice President of Gravel, a Hollins University literary magazine with focus on multicultural identity. Please find my teaching philosophy to read more about my views on the education field and elementary schooling. Thank you!
